In The ADHD Field Guide for Adults by Cate Osborne and Erik Gude

Amariah Love, MS, NCC, LPC brings a justice-focused perspective on transgender mental health and ADHD — the same expertise they provide in consulting, sensitivity reading, and organizational training.

About the Book

The ADHD Field Guide for Adults is a comprehensive resource filled with insights, strategies, and stories for adults navigating ADHD. The book brings together diverse perspectives from clinicians, researchers, advocates, and lived-experience experts, offering readers a wide lens on what it means to live — and thrive — with ADHD.

About Amariah’s Contribution

Amariah Love, MS, NCC, LPC was invited to contribute to The ADHD Field Guide for Adults to shed light on a critical but often overlooked issue: the barriers transgender people with ADHD face when seeking affirming, competent mental healthcare.

In their contribution, Amariah highlights how systemic discrimination and lack of provider training compound the challenges that trans and neurodivergent people experience — and why culturally responsive, justice-oriented care is essential.

Though their contribution is brief, it reflects Amariah’s commitment to amplifying marginalized voices and advocating for equity in mental health care.
