How much does a session cost?

My standard fee for a session is $200 for individuals and $230 for mediation sessions. I offer sliding scale fees using a tiered system. If my fee is a barrier to obtaining services, please use my Contact Form to get in touch and let me know what is affordable for you.

All sessions are 50-60 minutes.

Payment is expected at the time of the scheduled session.

Do you offer sliding scale?

I strongly believe that everybody has a right to accessible mental health care. I do my best to provide services that are not cost-prohibitive. When I have the capacity to do so, I will work with individual clients on an income-based sliding scale.

I do not offer reduced fee rates for clients who schedule sessions more than three weeks apart. Please let me know if you need a reduced fee, and we can try to negotiate something that is affordable for you.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently a private-pay, out-of-network provider. While I don’t accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for portion of our session cost. You can use Thrizer to verify your out-of-network benefits and submit superbills. They will manage the reimbursement process end-to-end for you to save you the insurance headache. Once you meet your deductible, you can request an instant reimbursement to skip the insurance wait or receive reimbursements in a few weeks via direct deposit. If you’re unsure of whether your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits for counseling services, I can use their benefit verification tool to check for you. Just send me an email letting me know you need to verify your benefits. I will need photos/copies of the front and back of your insurance card to verify benefits.

Do you offer recommendation letters?

Yes, I am available to write recommendation letters to support clients seeking:

  • Gender-affirming medical interventions such as HRT and surgery
  • Emotional Support Animal letters
  • Accommodations in the workplace or school under ADA (the Americans with Disabilities Act)

I charge $50 for active clients and $100 for inactive clients.

To be considered an active client, you must have scheduled and attended a session within the last 90 days.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 48 hours notice for rescheduling or cancellation (unless rescheduled within the same week).

If I am given between 24 and 48 hours notice, I charge half the agreed up on fee. If I am given less than 24 hours notice, I will charge the full fee.
